So, you're ready to buy a home?

Step one: Get pre-approved for a mortgage!

Your pre-approval will tell you what you can afford and what your monthly payment will be, so it's important to determine this before you start searching for your new home.

To get pre-approved for a mortgage, follow these steps:

• Gather your financial documents such as pay stubs, tax returns, and bank statements

• Contact a mortgage lender or bank to begin the pre-approval process (I have a great preferred lender to refer to you)

• Provide the lender with your financial documents and answer any questions they may have about your credit, income, and employment history.

It's important to note that pre-approval is not a guarantee of a loan, but it does give you a better idea of what you can afford and how much you'll need for a down payment. Additionally, pre-approval is generally valid for 30-90 days.
